A large kitchen, well equipped with a 5 ring gas cooker, fridge, double sink and dining area leads into a comfortable lounge area with TV and VCR. Off the lounge, the dining room has a heavy oak table and chairs with seating for 8, and a large open fire place. A scullery with a washing machine and drinks fridge completes the downstairs area which is heated by two storage heaters and the open fire. A telephone is also present.
Predominately furnished with French antiques, the upstairs area consists of two interconnecting double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. A fourth bedroom with two double beds, in the Norman style, is reached by external stairs but is only used during the summer months. This bedroom also has a sink with cold water. All the bedrooms have electric heaters. Duvets/blankets and pillows are provided. The bathroom, with bath, sink and WC concludes the accommodation on the first floor. A cot is located in the outside bedroom.
The large leafy garden is mainly laid to lawn and has numerous fruit trees. A large swing-set stands by the house and table tennis is available in one of the barns in the garden. The patio area has table, chairs and parasol as well as a kettle barbeque for al fresco dining. The garden is totally hedged and ‘child friendly’ – a well to the side of the house is securely locked.
